Work & Income Workshop - Basic Entitlements
The W&I environment is becoming increasingly hostile to clients. To support you in your work to assist clients trying to navigate the system and the communication issues, I (Kathryn Burton) am offering two workshops in July:
Work and Income - Basic Entitlements: Wednesday July 3rd starting at 9am - 3 hours - $100
This workshop is designed for those with limited experience, or wanting to increase their confidence, working with the benefits system. We cover the range of core benefits available, Supplemental assistance and its eligibility criteria, Common problem areas within the benefit system and how to avoid them.

Work and Income - Navigating a Hostile Environment – Wednesday July 10th July starting at 9am - 3 hours - $100
This session has been designed for those who are confident in the basic knowledge of the benefit system and want more knowledge and tools to support their clients who are being unfairly treated by W&I. We will cover the Review of Decision process in depth as well as digging into areas W&I are routinely mis-applying the law with strategies clients can use to receive their legal entitlements.
