FMIC - Nationwide by Zoom delivery

The Financial Mentoring Introductory Course (FMIC) is for new financial mentors to be trained in the skills and knowledge needed to be an effective financial mentor to serve the community. This is a zoom delivery of FMIC.  To ensure your trainee has an enjoyable and successful time on this course, there are new criteria to be met before enrolling them on this.  This is detailed in the managers’ letter which will be sent along with the application form – please ensure you read it. It is very important to ensure that your trainee:
  • is proficient at using a computer and can confidently navigate most applications especially Microsoft Excel
  • has full individual access to a reliable laptop or computer, and internet connection
  • has consistent access to the internet along with a dedicated quiet space to study and concentrate uninterrupted
  • has an assigned supervisor
  • has the full support of their supervisor and manager to give more than normal support through the learning programme
  There is a compulsory attendance to the Welcome Whakawhanaungatanga for the trainee and supervisor.  This is on Wednesday 5th February. for trainees at 9.30 – 11 am for supervisors at 11.15 – 12 noon (managers are welcome to join this session). then, The course runs twice a week from 9.30 am – 1.30 pm on:

  • Wednesday 5th March
  • Friday 7th March
  • Wednesday 12th March

  • Friday 21st March – the final assessment
