FMIC by Zoom - Nationwide
The Financial Mentoring Introductory Course (FMIC) is for new financial mentors to be trained in the skills and knowledge needed to be an effective financial mentor to serve the community.
This is a zoom delivery of FMIC. To ensure your trainee has an enjoyable and successful time on this course, there are criteria to be met before enrolling them on this. This is detailed in the managers’ letter.
It is very important to ensure that your trainee:
- is proficient at using a computer and can confidently navigate most applications especially Microsoft Excel
- has full individual access to a reliable laptop or computer, and internet connection
- has consistent access to the internet along with a dedicated quiet space to study and concentrate uninterrupted
- has an assigned supervisor
- has the full support of their supervisor and manager to give more than normal support through the learning programme
There is a compulsory attendance to the Welcome Whakawhanaungatanga for both the trainee and their supervisor. This is on
Monday 13 April 2026 at 9am.
Then, the course runs twice a week
from 9.00 am – 1.00 pm on:

- Friday 24 April
- Friday 1 May
- Monday 4 May
- Friday 8 May
- Monday 11 May
- Friday 15 May
- Monday 18 May
- Friday 22 May
- Monday 25 May
- Friday 29 May - the final assessment
