We're kicking off our campaign asking for sustainable funding. We'll be going at this from all different angles. We want to positively demonstrate what Financial Mentors do - your impact in your communities and the huge demand for your mahi. Our campaign needs your help to populate a slogan with all the different things that mentors do each day. The slogan is: It takes a financial mentor to.... Please add your suggestions below!

A few ideas from me : With support from a financial mentor you can - get back on track with your finances, get support to achieve your financial goals, make a sustainable plan for paying off debt, feel supported and informed when making financial decisions look at all your options

  It takes a mentor to sometimes remind you, you have always been capable of managing your money, but it is OK to get the awhi you need until you remember that too. To help you organize your money so it makes sense. To clarify the big money stuff into bite sized chunks you can understand. To build you up so you can build your whanau and community up too. To give you a cup of tea and a breather To advocate with you, so you can advocate for you one day. Demonstrate that no matter how hard things get, we are here. Celebrate alongside you, when there are wins. No matter how big, or small.      

Tell you what your rights are ensure your loans are suitable advocate on your behalf give you options that you may not be aware of

Show you there is a way out of your financial pickle help you un-pickle the financial pickle help you make that call to the debt collector make that call to the debt collector if you really can't face it  

Help you unpack some of the tools you already have in your kete and grow your skills by working alongside you.
